A video was uploaded to YouTube hours ago where someone demonstrated a small vending machine which accepts bitcoin.

BTC Vending Machine Video:

In the demonstration, the vending machine displayed a QR code on a touchscreen panel. The person filming the video then pulled out his smartphone logged into his wallet where he proceeded to scan the QR code to send the requested amount to the Coke vending machine. The transaction was instantly confirmed and the vending machine started pouring out Coca Cola! The project was originally for study purposes and the demonstration illustrates the sales automation process using Bitcoin as a form of payment. This is another example of an exciting innovation from the bitcoin community. Despite the price decline in bitcoin this year, the network itself has been continuously progressing with new innovations added to the bitcoin network throughout time. Inventions like this brings us a step closer to spend bitcoin easily.
